I’m not going to tell you that you have to stop working. In fact, I believe that the entrepreneurial journey can be one of the most rewarding experiences in life. But what I am going to ask is that you take a step back and honestly assess how much time you’re spending on your business, and whether or not it’s really worth it. Because if you’re like most business owners, there’s a good chance you’re feeling guilty about how you spend your time. And that guilt is preventing you from living a truly fulfilling life. So let me ask you this: is working all the time really worth it? Is your business really benefitting from all those hours? Or are you just kidding yourself?

If that sounds harsh, consider this:

Many people who start businesses never stop working. They go into their business with the best of intentions, but then never take a step back to say, “Is this really benefitting my life? Is it bringing me closer to my goals?” And depending on how often you work, chances are your business never gets the attention it needs.

No one can deny that working hard and building a business is rewarding, but if you never stop to ask yourself if your time would be better spent elsewhere, you’ll never experience the sense of fulfillment that comes from knowing you did something truly great with your time. You never get to experience what it’s like to have the time to pursue your own dreams. You never get that moment where you sit back, look at what you’ve created, and ask yourself, “Is this really everything I wanted?”

And trust me, if there’s one thing I’m an expert on, it’s wasted potential. For years I dreamed of starting my own business. But every day I worked on someone else’s dream, never once taking a step back and asking myself, “Is this really what I want?”

I never had the time to wonder if there was anything better out there. Instead, I’d wake up early and go to bed late. My only goal was to build my business as quickly as possible. And never once did I take a step back and ask myself, “Is this really what I want for my life?”

So it’s not just about you. It’s about your family, too. You never get to spend time with your kids because you’re always working. And never once does your spouse stop to think, “Is all this worth it?” They never see you as a husband or wife. You never get to be called “Dad.”

You never stop to consider what life would be like if you didn’t work for someone else. And never once do you stop and think about how much more fulfilling life could be if your business actually gave back to the world.

It never stops.

There never comes a time when you say, “Okay, I’ve done enough.” You never get a chance to look back on the day and ask yourself if it was worth it. The never-ending lack of fulfillment never comes to an end because you never take a step back and say, “Is this really what I want?”

So never again experience guilt over how you spend your time. Never again feel selfish for wanting to change, never be scared of what might happen if you say goodbye to the comfort zone, never let your dreams die because your business takes up every spare moment of every day.

Instead, embrace the fact that you’re never going to have it all. You never get to do everything that everyone else does, and never stop to ask yourself if it’s worth it. You never get a chance to experience the calmness of enjoying yourself with your family, never give yourself the time for what you really want.

But I’m going to make sure you never regret anything either. Because never again are you going to experience guilt over how you spend your time. You never have to feel selfish for wanting more, never be scared of what might happen if you say goodbye, never let go of the things that truly matter in life because no one has the time for it.

Now never stop working hard or never making your dreams a reality. Just never never never never never give up on what you really want for your life.

And never again experience guilt over how you spend your time. Now go out there and do something great with your time…like read an article about time and automation!

Seriously, never never never never never never never never never never give up on what you really want. This is not a goodbye; it’s an I’ll see you later! Now go out there and do something great with your time…like check this YouTube about creating more quality time.
